Blasting e-mails to a list is okay, but:
- Who downloaded your white paper?
- Did the recipient take you up on your call to action?
- What messages bounced and why?
E-mail templates are created either in Sage Communicator's HTML editor or by copying from another popular package. (Front Page, etc). Personalized data (such as first name) is added from a pick list and then dynamically populated from the Sage CRM contact record. Other traceable events such as Landing Zone Links or click-throughs are also added.
The Bounce Back used to be the bane of every marketer's life, with multiple message types of failure all hiding the email address of who was actually bounced. Typically, bounce analysis is a laborious manual process which very few people actually fulfill. With Bounce Manager, this function is now fully automated with instant reports and analysis on who bounced and why, this is then passed to SageCRM or Sage SalesLogix as appropriate.
Because e-marketing information is stored in the SageCRM or Sage SalesLogix database, it is added as criteria that can be used to build Target Lists. Therefore, secondary campaign audiences can be created based on the activities of previous campaigns!
